PR: There’s Never Been a Better Time to Buy a Bike

Evans Cycles End of Season Sale now underway

London (PRWEB) August 20, 2009 — Boasting thousands of genuine savings, Evans Cycles, the UK’s largest quality cycle retailers, has just unveiled its now legendary End of Season Sale.

Ask any cycling enthusiast and they’ll tell you that now is the perfect time to be buying a new bike. As 2010 models start to filter into the market, retailers are force to mark down their existing inventory, offering savings of up to 30%.

The End of Season Sale gives the retailer the opportunity to clear out end-of-line products and gives customers the chance to grab some amazing deals. There are genuine end of season reductions on thousands of 2009 bikes, including Cannondale and Specialized mountain bikes, road bikes from the likes of Trek and Pinarello, not to mention commuter bikes and more!

Plus, with the impending change of seasons, it’s not just bikes that are going for song. Cycle clothing and accessories have also been reduced to make way for new autumn season stock.

“We’re clearing out old stock,” says MD Mike Rice, “but because of our buying power we’ve also been able to snap up container loads of end of line bikes and cycling accessories from our suppliers allowing us to pass the bulk savings onto our customers.”

As cycling grows ever more popular, and with the summer weather set to last, there will be ever more riders hunting down deals to beat the crunch. It certainly feels good picking up a two wheeled bargain, but the savings don’t stop there. With no parking fee, fuel bills or train fares to contend with, the cost a new bike soon pays for itself, several times over.

There’s Never Been a Better Time to Buy
With raw material costs spiralling and fluctuations in exchange rates, the price of goods has been hit hard recently and the cycle trade is no exception. “We saw prices go up towards the end of 2008 and this year we’re expecting manufacturers to increase prices further” says Joel Natale, chief bike buyer. “We’re shielding customers from these rises as much as possible, but price increases will undoubtedly filter through to ticket prices later this year. If I were looking to invest in a new bike I would do so now, while the sale is on and before any price hikes in 2010 models – prices will never be this low again.”

Tax Free Bikes and Great Sale Deals
As if the prospect of up to 30% off big name bikes wasn’t enough, through Evans Cycles’ cycle to work scheme, Ride2Work, cyclists can effectively buy their bikes tax free, saving around 50% on the sale price.
